The Story of Toy Story
The 1995 film Toy Story was the first feature film to be entirely
generated by computer. It was a tremendous success, both commercially and
artistically. It received rave reviews, and was praised both for the story and
its technical aspects. Worldwide, the film made over $361 million. But this
final version did not happen effortlessly, as a quick look behind the scenes
will show.
The plot focuses on the relationship between Woody, a toy cowboy, and a
new, expensive toy astronaut called Buzz Lightyear. But the characters that
feature in the released version of the film started out very differently.
Originally taken from a short film called Tin Toy, the astronaut Buzz
evolved from a character called “Tinny”, while Woody changed from a
ventriloquist’s dummy to a stuffed cowboy doll. At one point, a Barbie
character was suggested, but the idea was never developed because Mattel,
Barbie’s creators, refused to permit her appearance in the film.
There were also changes in casting.
Although Tom Hanks, whose voice is heard in the final version, was always the
first choice for Woody, the film-makers had hoped that Billy Crystal would
supply the voice for Buzz. However, he turned them down, a decision he now regrets,
and Tim Allen filled the role.
Because the film uses only computer-generated imagery, much hard work
was needed from the technical crew. For example, before animation could begin,
clay or computer models of the characters were created, and each character
received coded instructions controlling the way it could walk and talk. A total
of 110 animators worked on the film, which cost $30 million to make.
Toy Story has won numerous awards. It has
also created a whole range of spin-offs such as Toy Story dolls. In 1999, a sequel, Toy
Story 2, was released followed by Toy Story 3 in 2010. Will we see Toy Story 4 within the
next decade?
The Toy Story film has been one of the best films of Disney. This film mix action, romance and the possibility for get a really friendship. Since I was little, I saw Toy Story with my brother and, after we imagined that our dolls were alive. However, I believe that all children have thought in the life of toys. Who hasn't opened fast the door or has talked with toys in order to see if toys were life?

Although some people think that children are being deceived because when they buy a toy of the film, these children believe that the toys made the same things of the film. But don't occur it, from my point of view in the film toys never are moving when there are someone close.
So, my conclusion is that Toy Story is the best film for childrens, because of this film help to see that the relationship among people of differently customs or likes can be friends, a value of great importance in the childhood.
Toy Story is a film which not only children love a lot, but also adults love this film. It’s a result of hard work and dedication, so the awards which this film has won are deserved. However are more films which also are very good.

When I was little, Toy Story was my favourite film because it was different. Everybody love this film above childrens. When I saw it, I imagined that my toys had life. So, I would close my door and would open the door quickly because I wanted to see them play. I also spoke with my toys in order to if they answer me.

Toy Story has been one of the movies that more I have seen in my infancy and is one of the movies that I continue seeing when they play in the television. I remember that always when I saw this movie I was thinking that my dolls and felt had life and think if they really were listening to me and understood me … It’s a movie that not only uses the kind of the cartoon, but also there is romance, tragedy and action, because of it has so many prizes, which are well-deserved well, since Pixar has many movies that are very good and educational. Finally I think that movies like Toy Story or anyone another movie of the studies Pixar are special for the children and the adults since they teach us that it is necessary to value very well the friendship and the family.
ResponderEliminarToy Story is my favorite Disney movie. That movie was great entertainment for me in my childhood, and in fact still is today since I never tire of seeing. The story is perfect, as from small, try to teach us that friendship is very important in our lives, taking as an example the love you have some other teddies.
