Celebrity Advertising
Ever since the early days of radio, advertising agencies have used actors, singers and athletes to sell products. This trend grew along with the development of television, and now it seems that everywhere we turn, we see celebrities endorsing some product or service.
It is easy to see why this is so. First, the advertisers hope that the public will transfer the "star quality" from the celebrity to the product or service, and buy or use it in the hope of becoming like the star. They also think that we are more likely to believe a sales pitch if it comes from a well-known personality. And if nothing else, they believe that a familiar face will help us to remember the item when it's time to lay out money. And for the stars who provide the endorsement, it seems to be a win-win situation: a chance to earn money while gaining valuable publicity for themselves.
But there are disadvantages as well. Sometimes the advertisers find that the celebrity spokesperson cannot really put the advantages of the product across successfully. Or the public may find it so unbelievable that the star actually uses the product or service, that the gimmick backfires, and the money spent hiring the well-known personality is wasted. In some cases, too, using a star endorsement seems to indicate desperation, a sign that the product cannot stand on its own merits. And one cannot help but wonder if the cost of hiring the celebrity is passed on to the consumer, making the product more expensive.
The celebrities themselves may also find that there is a downside to product endorsement. They may risk losing the respect of the public by appearing in advertisements. Many people, including some celebrities, feel that stars should rely on their acting or singing abilities, or athletic prowess, and not just cash in because they have a famous face.

In our celebrity-obsessed culture, it is unlikely that this type of advertising will go out of fashion any time soon. But consumers should, as always, think carefully about where they spend their money, and not be led blindly by a media personality, no matter how famous.

Nowadays, the society is very strange, now celebrities not only work in films or as a singers but also they appear in advertisements with the objective to attract people to buy some products such as mobile phones, clothes or something like this. They find this a very good opportunity to earn some money and to be more known.
    However, people can think that they are leaving their works as a actor or as singer which are their works and they have to take part in them. This causes the belief that these celebrities aren’t professional and responsible with their works, nevertheless with these advertisements they get people buy the products which are presented for them.
    To sum up, there are some advantages and some disadvantages, but this problem can be solve if the celebrities have more interest in their works and not to be interested only in money and in to be more famous.

      Society is a very strange thing. Nowadays, celebrities not only work in films or as singers, but they also appear in advertisements with the objective to attract people to buy some products such as mobile phones, clothes or something like this. They think that this a very good opportunity to earn some money and to be better known.
      However, people can think that they are leaving their works as a actor or as singer, which are their professions and they have to take part in them. This fact causes the belief that these celebrities aren’t professional and responsible with their work, nevertheless, by means of these advertisements they achieve people to buy the products which are presented by them.
      To sum up, there are some advantages and some disadvantages, but this problem could be solved if the celebrities had more interest in their works and not to be interested only in money and in becoming more popular.

  2. Our society is characterized by everyone that want to famous singer, athlet, dancer... For instance, many people make a video of a hilmself, while he is falling, running from a dog, jumping in to a pool... and this is ocuring every day.
    Althought, it isn't the worst, because these people get to be famous, few more visits you have, more money you are going win. After, this person begin to go to television as a famous person, he promote his next video for everybody see it.
    So, the media is a place when everyone can be famous person without much knowledge. Although, there is a disvadvantege that a person becomes famous for something that is not proud, for instance, in a television program and all audience laugh at the contestant's voice. This contestant must support the laughs.
    In my opinion, I don't dislike that people win money thanks to the media, because everyone today can be famous. But, I think that they win too much money thanks to their abilities, they should win less money.

    1. Our society is characterized because everyone wants to be a popular singer, athlete or dancer... For instance, many people make a video of themselves, while they are falling, running like a dog, jumping into a swimming pool... and this is hapening every day.
      Althought, it isn't the worst, because these people manage to be famous, so, the more visits you get, the more money you are going to win. Afterwards, this person begins to go to television programs as a popular person, he/she promotes his/her next video for everybody to watch it.
      So, the mass media is a place where everyone can be a well-known person without much knowledge. However, there is a disvadvantege about becoming famous for something which may not be proud about, for example, in a television program and all audience laugh at the contestant's voice. This contestant must stand how people laugh at him or her.
      In my opinion, I don't dislike that people win some money thanks to the mass media, because everyone can be famous nowadays. But, I think that they win too much money thanks to their abilities, they should win less money.

For example, a supermodel with beautiful hair might be contracted to promote a certain brand of shampoo, giving the impression that her beautiful hair results from using the shampoo. However, the celebrity might not even use the product or service he or she endorses. In this case, we can say the celebrity is misleading the public in exchange for profit.

The producers hire beautiful models to sell the beauty products, drivers of Formula 1 to sell an elegant car... Probably this famous don’t buy these products because he use "others" in accordance to his way of life. Thus, we might say that they are cheating us, since, by means of the image of the celebrities, they claim that we buy these products because they support them, giving to understand that they use them and it is a lie .The whole world should realize that, even if a celebrity announces a product, it’s not necessary that we buy it.

    1. Nowadays, the use of images of famous people in beauty goods such as fashion, food, cars, and so on is something very common. The producers hire beautiful models to sell beauty products, drivers of Formula 1 to sell an elegant car... Probably these famous people don’t buy the products they advertise because they use others brands according to their way of life. Thus, we might say that they are cheating us, since, by means of the image of the celebrities, they claim that we buy these products because they support them, by pretending that they use them and it is a real fake. This is unlikely that change, in my opinion the consumers must think that is what they need, what they can and what they must buy and not buy products because any famous that like us it has endorsing since in the advertiser they will tell that they have used it and it like them but often it is lie as they use other products. The only make the endorsing for earn money and win more fame.

    1. Since long time ago people have used celebrities in order to endorse all sorts of goods, from a shampoo to a car or a trip. This is unlikely that this might change, In my opinion the consumers must think that is what they need, what they can and what they must buy and not to buy products because we like those famous people who are promoting them. since, in the advertisements, celebrities would tell what they have used and what they like, but they often fake the public because they use other brands. The only reason to endorse goods is to earn money and become more famous.

  6. Nowadays, there are a lot of advertisements that appear famous people who want announce and sell some products because there are people who buy it for look this famous people but this advertisements are very expensive.

    Sometimes, people who appear in this advertisements are not famous but when the people see them at the street or in the television they became in a famous people and the get a lot of money in a few minutes, only by apper in the advertisements.
    In my opinion people who create this advertisements shouldn`t spent a lot of money in the people who appear because people see the advertisements few times.

    1. Nowadays, there are a lot of advertisements in which famous people appear. They are hired in order to promote some goods because there are people who buy them to look like these celebrities, but these advertisements are really expensive... (?)

    of these strategies is to put celebrities such as athletes, singers... because users think they will get the "star quality" from the celebrities.
    But this method can have negative effects for the business or for the famous.
    On the one hand, the public may think it is impossible for the famous coming out in the commercial really will use the product and it result evident , another disadvantage is that buyers may think that the company can't sell the product without a famous person, which means that the product can't stand on its own merits.

    With the celebrities’ endorsements, people pay more attention only because they are famous people. The objective of the advertisements is to make public a product.     1. Because of celebrities’ promotion, people pay more attention to the adverts in which they appear. The aim of the advertisements is to make a product well known. But advertisers also want that people remember them because they will remember also their products. So they pay a lot of money in order to make an advertisement that everyone could remember.   9. Firstly, our society always have wanted be as celebrities becauese we have had envy of them, for this reason, advertising agencies have begun to use actors, singers, athletes (football players, basketball players,...)etc. to sell the product's brand and so improve their profits.
    This is our big problem because we never going to be to celebrities who we dream, for many products that we buy; due to this products aren't miraculous.     1. Firstly, people have always wanted to be one of the celebrities in our society because we have felt envious of them. For this reason, advertising agencies have begun to use actors, singers, athletes (football players, basketball players,...) etc. to promote some brands and so to improve their profits.
      This is our big problem because we are never going to be those celebrities who we dream of. We buy these goods for that reason, but many of them aren't miraculous.   11. Using a celebrity to do an advertisement campaign for some product has always been a good marketing strategy. But on the one hand, lots of people see this as a complete fraud because they feel like companies are trying to sell us an image and not the actual product.
    On the other hand, some people also think it is a scam, but they do because they feel like the product is not good enough so they have to use a celebrity whose salary will only increase the final item's price.
    However, I think celebrity advertising is not such a bad thing wherever they’re respectful. For example, the famous cologne One Million does not have celebrities advertising it, but in its ad you can see how a young man snaps his fingers and a girl just drops her clothes. I don't get to understand how this is better.

    in fact, this is true, we can see how famous it's a product looking at who published it, if you can afford to pay a football star for talk abut your product, it will be famous in a short period of time,and the publishers known that, so they do their best to get the most famous people for publish their product

    in my opinion, people often buys this things because they thinks that, if someone famous says that this is the best car right now, they are saying thye truth, but actually, someone paid them for that, so we must buy the things we think that are better, not the things that someone tell us to buy

      In fact, this is true, we can see how popular a product is by checking about the celebrity who have promoted. If you can afford to pay a football star to talk about some products, it will be popular in a short period of time,and the advertising companies know that, so they do their best in order to get the most famous people to promote items to be sold.

    If you look a famous, your favorite famous wearing a beautiful dress or using a especific cologne, first that you want is her dress and her cologne for smell like her and take her clothes, and people will pay it whatever the cost of product.

      If you look at your favourite singer, actor or model, who is wearing a beautiful dress or using a specific perfume, your first reaction would be that you might want her dress and her perfume in order to smell like she smells or wear her clothes to be dressed up as she does, so people will pay whatever the cost could be.

      Nowadays, this is the way to sell comercial items although, will people always be willing to pay a lot of money for a product only because it is advertised with the image of a celebrity? It is probably like that, but society will change and the way how to sell too.

      The truth is that in most cases this if so, people more called attention to the products, if they see a famous uses, but in some cases, depending on the quality of the product, they also may stop in between that famous reputation.

      To tell the truth, it is mostly this way, so people paid attention to their products, if they see a celebrity using them, but in some cases, depending on the quality of the product, they might also keep attention to popular people's reputation.

For example: the tv spot by Rafa Nadal is endorsing a car called '' Kya '', I don't think that he drives it in real life because he earns a lot of money and he can afford any car.

  23. All days we can see celebrities in the tv or in the radio. It`s normal for us, we are used. Like all things, do advertise have advantages and disadvantages. In one hand, do publicity make their closest to the people who are not celebrities, they win money.     Firstly, the TV viewers are inclined to heed advice and recomendations from popular people, who they admireand think the product has the same positive qualities than them, but reality could be very different.

    Secondly, by showing the qualities of celebrities as role models who are users and the image of a product could show both advantages and disadvantages. That's why, if the product is not good at all, the reputation of popular people might get low.
